We are thrilled to be announce that we’ve update our Fotomerchant Pricing Plans and have dramatically reduced the transaction fees across our major plans.

When we started rebuilding the new Fotomerchant, one of our main goals was to reduce our operational costs so that we could pass on better savings to you. You told us that the transaction fees were the biggest point of contention so we’ve brought them down to industry low levels. Your self fulfilled print order, your automated direct fulfilment orders and digital download sales will now be even more lucrative as you take an even larger slice of the pie.
Our new plans might look very similar and share the same features, but they’re now optimised to offer even greater value to your photography business. Here’s a quick snapshot of our Monthly and Annual pricing plan options.

Which plan should I choose?
If you are a semi-professional, wedding, portrait or fine art photographer, the most popular and best value plan is the Plus+ Annual ($192 per annum).
Event photographers, small school studios and other photographers generating a modest volume of sales usually opt for the Premium+ Annual (if their business is all-round) or the Monthly variant for seasonal work.
Enthusiast photographers who mostly need a website for promoting their photographs or are just starting out in the professional photography industry opt for the Standard Monthly plan.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Will I automatically get the new pricing applied to my account?
A: You will need to sign in to the My Plan page and choose from one of the new pricing plans. You will only get access to the new plans after you have chosen a new plan. If you do not choose a new plan, you will not benefit from the new pricing.
Q: Do I have to take up the new plans?
A: You’re not forced to take up the new plans. If you like the plan you’re on, you can stay there for as long as you like. But seriously, why would you? The benefits of improved transaction fees and better pricing can only be a good thing, right?
Q: My current plan has a free website domain, but the equivalent plan does not. What will happen to my domain? (Only relevant to people on the Premium Monthly Plan)
A: Your domain will still be yours and applied to your account. When the yearly renewal date comes around we will charge $19 to keep that domain for another 12 months. If you do the math, it works out much, much cheaper to pay for the domain rather than have it included as part of monthly cost. You will recoup the cost of the domain in just over a month.
Q: I signed up on a special offer, will my discount still work?
A: Yes, your discount code will be automatically applied to any new plan you select and the same rules for the discount will apply (e.g. if you have a 25% discount for one year and you’re already two months into the promotion, your new plan will be discounted for the remaining ten months)
Q: Why did you change your pricing and make it cheaper?
A: We’ve wanted to do this for a long time. We just needed to make some improvements to our operations so that we could pass these savings on to you. We know how tough it can be to run a small business and we want our photographers to be as profitable as possible.
