New Responsive Content Builder
Build amazing content faster and easier than ever before!
Here at Fotomerchant, we want to make it super easy for photographers to build content that caters for the modern mobile internet experience. As part of this initiative, it means that we need amazing website themes that will look great on any device, and to provide the tools necessary to make the content creation process easy as well.
This is where our new responsive content builder becomes key to this initiative.
With the new responsive content builder, building a web page or a blog post starts with a block. You can choose any block you want. As part of the initial BETA of the responsive content editor we have included the following blocks: Headings, Text, Lists, Images, Videos, Sliders and Columns.
Blocks can be easily dragged and dropped into the desired position, with simple options and formatting support.
Unlike the traditional approach of building content in a Microsoft Office Word like approach, the end result here is content that Fotomerchant can guarantee will work as designed and in a responsive manner when viewed on Fotomerchant powered websites.
BETA Explained
The new responsive content builder is being labeled as a BETA tool because we are still growing out the catalogue of blocks available.
The traditional approach Fotomerchant customers used for content authoring will still be available until (close to) feature parity is achieved in the new responsive content builder.
Choice of which content builder is used for a blog post or web page will only be available at the time of creation. At the time of writing this article, it is also not possible to convert content between the different content builders.
